Terms of Service

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, publishing a listing, requesting a rental, or otherwise using Renthing, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the policies linked from them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter agreements. If you use Renthing for an organization, you confirm that you can bind that organization.

2. Renthing's role

Renthing provides technology that helps owners and renters find one another and organize a rental. Unless we expressly say otherwise, Renthing does not own listed items, inspect every item, set member prices, process payments, act as an insurer, or become a party to the rental agreement between members.

3. Accounts and verification

A verification feature reduces uncertainty but is not a guarantee of identity, character, item quality, or transaction outcome.

• Provide accurate information and keep it current.
• Keep credentials and one-time codes private and notify us of suspected unauthorized use.
• Use one account for yourself and do not impersonate another person or organization.
• Complete identity or renter-information steps when a feature or owner reasonably requires them.

4. Listings and bookings

Owners must accurately describe the item, condition, price, deposit, availability, location, and requirements. Renters must review those details and provide accurate booking information. A request does not become an accepted rental until the owner accepts it and both sides complete any required confirmation steps.

The separate Renthing Service Agreement contains the default owner-and-renter responsibilities for an accepted rental. Members may add lawful written terms that do not conflict with these Terms or applicable law.

5. Payments, deposits, and taxes

Members arrange payment directly using the method they agree on. Renthing does not hold funds, guarantee payment, or automatically issue refunds. Owners and renters are responsible for receipts, deposits, refunds, taxes, and any provider fees that apply to their transaction.

6. Prohibited conduct and items

• Illegal, stolen, counterfeit, unsafe, recalled, or unlawfully regulated items.
• Weapons, controlled substances, explicit services, or anything that facilitates harm or unlawful surveillance.
• Fraud, harassment, discrimination, threats, manipulation of reviews, spam, or attempts to bypass platform safeguards.
• Scraping, reverse engineering, malicious code, unauthorized access, or interference with the service.
• Sharing passwords, one-time codes, full card details, or other credentials through Renthing messages or support.

7. Member content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Renthing a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, adapt, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, promote, and improve the service. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit it.

We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms, creates risk, or is not appropriate for the marketplace.

8. Enforcement and account actions

We may investigate reports and warn, limit, suspend, or close accounts or listings when reasonably necessary to protect members, comply with law, or enforce these Terms. Serious or urgent risk may require action without advance notice. You may stop using Renthing at any time, but obligations from existing rentals and retained records can continue.

9. Disclaimers and responsibility

Renthing is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, a particular member or item, or the outcome of a rental. Members remain responsible for their decisions, communications, handovers, payments, property, and compliance with law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Renthing is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from another member, an item, an off-platform payment, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

10. Questions and disputes

Contact us first so we can review platform records and try to resolve the issue informally. These Terms are interpreted under applicable Philippine law, subject to any mandatory consumer rights and jurisdiction rules that apply to you.

We may update these Terms for legal, security, or product reasons. Material changes will be communicated through the service where practical. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
